Medication Disposal

Cumberland County has two free and easy to use methods available for residents to dispose of unwanted medications. This includes Deterra Drug Disposal Pouches and Medication Drop Boxes.

Deterra Drug Disposal Pouches

The Deterra drug disposal pouches are an easy way to safely dispose of medication at home. These pouches permanently deactivate prescription and over the counter medication, including opioids. The pouches work in an environmentally safe way on multiple forms of medications, pills, patches, films, creams, and liquids.
