Problem Gambling

Gambling Awareness Month March Social Media Graphic

Problem gambling, often called the hidden addiction, is real - just ask those who are dealing with it.  Ask their families and friends.  Fifteen million (15,000,000) Americans show some form of problem gambling behavior.   Gambling can be addictive as alcohol and other drugs.  Problem gambling can cause personal, social, and financial problems.  If you are concerned about yourself or a loved one, there is help.  You are not alone.

Where do I find help?

You can call the PA Gambling Addiction 24-hour hotline at 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537). You are also able to search online for a Gambling Addiction Participating Provider on the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs website.  Both Gamblers Anonymous and Gam-Anon are meeting in the southcentral PA area.  Support can also be found at Gamtalk, an online resource for problem gambling issues.

Problem Gambling Resource Center
