Appeal from Magisterial District Judge Sentence
A defendant who has been found guilty or who has pleaded guilty to a summary offense may file an appeal with the Court of Common Pleas. Summary Appeal Forms are available in the office of the Clerk of Court or click on the link below, complete and mail (4) copies.

A non-refundable fee of $54 is charged by the Clerk of Court for the filing of any summary appeal or petition nunc pro tunc. If you are at risk of losing your license and you require a certified copy for Penn Dot, there is an additional $13.50 charge. These fees are in addition to any costs and fines which may be or may have been charged.
You will incur additional costs (at least a $93.50 fee for non-traffic citations & at least a $101.50 fee for traffic citations.)*Please be aware that the judge does have the right to impose more court costs. As a result of the following Dispositions:
A. You are found guilty of the charge(s)
B. The Court dismisses your appeal
C. You withdraw your appeal after the hearing has commenced
