Forest Management Plan

In 2017, the Cumberland County Planning Department coordinated the development a Forest Management Plan for the Mount Holly Marsh Preserve. The plan provides an overview of past land practices, summarizes current forest conditions and presents recommendations for a sustainable resource management and maintenance of forest health.

This project was funded in part by a grant from the Community Conservation Partnership Program, Environmental Stewardship Fund, under the administration of PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. The grant was awarded through the South Mountain Partnership, with management oversight of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Cumberland County is a partner of the South Mountain Partnership, an alliance of organizations working to preserve and enhance the cultural and natural assets of the South Mountain Landscape in Central Pennsylvania.
