Board of Elections Meetings

The Board of Elections holds meetings in the spring and fall, before the Primary and General Elections. During these meetings, the Board takes action to complete successful Primary/General Election events, per the Pennsylvania Election Code.

Salary Board

The Salary Board Meetings, held prior to each Board of Commissioners meeting, include discussion on job postings, hiring's, salary adjustments, etc.

Criminal Justice Policy Team

This meeting is held the second Thursday of each month and is attended by all three Commissioners. 

Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation

This meeting is the third Tuesday of each month. All three Commissioners attend when possible. 

Drug & Alcohol Commission - Cumberland/Perry Counties

These meetings are held the first Thursday of each month. Our Drug & Alcohol Department provides an update to both the Cumberland and Perry County Commissioners on their programs and work for both counties. 

Emergency Services Action Panel

This meeting is held the second Wednesday of each month. 

Human Services Policy Team

Members of the Human Services Department provide updates to the Commissioners on their programs and services during this meeting, held the third Tuesday of every other month. 

Municipal Advisory Board

These meetings provide an opportunity for all municipal leaders to learn of large County projects, exchange ideas and network. The County hosts three Municipal Advisory Board meetings each year. 

Planning Commission Meetings

The Cumberland County Planning Commission meets the second and third Thursday of every month. The Commission recommends actions to the municipal partner regarding subdivision and land development plans, ordinance amendments, comprehensive plans and agriculture security areas. 

Prison Board Meetings

The Cumberland County Prison Board is comprised of the three County Commissioners, Controller, Sheriff, District Attorney and a Judge from the Court of Common Pleas. The Prison Board meets on the third Monday of every month to discuss and take action on matters pertaining to the operation and management of the Cumberland County Prison. 

Public Safety Review Team

Held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, our Department of Public Safety provides an update to the Commissioners on their projects during this meeting. 

Nursing Home Proceeds/Needs Exploratory Committee and Subcommittees

This committee and subcommittees were created to discuss and recommend possible uses for the proceeds of the sale of the Claremont Nursing Home. 

South Central Caucus of County Commissioners

The Commissioners discuss topics of concern with other County Commissioners in the South Central Pennsylvania region during this meeting, held at the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania's meetings in March and November. 

Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Board and Review Team

These meetings were held to discuss operations and challenges facing Claremont. When possible, all three Commissioners attended these meetings. 

Board of Commissioners Workshops

The Board of Commissioners previously conducted a workshop meeting twice each month at 9 a.m. on a Thursday. During these meetings, the Board reviewed items pending approval.
