  • The Facilities Management staff works hand-in-hand with fifty-two County departments. Our department works to provide quality services in a timely and efficient manner with as little disturbance to the day to day functions of each department as possible.    

The goal of the Facilities Management Department is to keep all buildings and grounds in excellent and energy efficient working order by maintaining a pro-active approach, whenever possible, to facilitate this goal. 

Administrative Division

The administrative division consists of the Facilities Management Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Administrative Specialist and Administrative Assistant. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Contract Negotiations
  • Lease Agreements
  • Energy Management Program
  • Construction Project Management
  • Janitorial Supervision
  • Utility Management
  • Fleet Related Concerns 
  • Procurement
  • Invoice Processing

Construction, Renovation, Building Maintenance Division

The Construction, Renovation and Building Maintenance Division includes skilled workers with demonstrated success in all aspects of construction. Responsibilities  include but are not limited to:
  • Remodeling
  • Build/Design
  • Project Supervision
  • Blue Print Interpretation
  • Subcontractor interaction
  • Material Procurement
  • Electrical & Plumbing
  • Cell Tower Maintenance
  • Bridge Maintenance
    • A collaborative effort with the Planning Department in maintenance of the County's 28 bridge

Technical Division

The Technical Division consists of skilled technicians who provide preventative maintenance and timely servicing to over 800 pieces of equipment in County operated buildings, plus nine 9-1-1 tower sites. The responsibilities of the Technical Division include but are not limited to oversight of the following:
  • HVAC
  • Refrigeration
  • Valves
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Code Compliance
  • Cell Tower Sites

Work Crew Division

The Work Crew Division are dedicated workers whose responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
  • Janitorial Work
  • Floor Care
  • Project Support
  • Paint
  • Drywall
  • Snow Removal
  • Landscaping
  • Grounds Projects

Fleet Management/Vehicle Services

The Vehicle Services Division includes certified technicians who maintain and service over 150 vehicles and trailers owned by the County. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Inspections/Emissions 
  • Vehicle Repairs (including AC and transmission)
  • Emergency Road Service
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Parts Procurement
  • Internal Invoicing
