The Cumberland County GIS Department supports county-level GIS operations and county departments such as Tax Assessment, Public Safety, and Planning. We maintain addressing and emergency service area data that Is critical to the function of 9-1-1. We provide services that enhance tax assessment practices via tools such as the Property Mapper, which increases accessibility of property location, valuation, and development for county staff, external stakeholders, and the public. Our data is used by the Bureau of Elections to assist voters in locating their polling place and to ensure that voters are registered in the correct precincts. Our data and services are utilized by the Planning department to analyze and protect resources such as land use, agricultural security areas, and other natural resources, as well as identify areas for development throughout the county and promote business development.
