The Cumberland County Commissioners are seeking interested candidates to fill a vacancy on the Cumberland County Municipal Authority Board. The Municipal Authority consists of five members appointed by the County Commissioners to serve a five-year term. The Authority meets on an as needed basis at the Cumberland County Courthouse. There is currently one vacant seat on this Board.

The County established the Municipal Authority in 1987 for the purpose of projects devoted wholly or partially for public uses, for the conduct of judicial proceedings, and for revenue producing purposes. Recently, the primary focus of the Authority has been to review and approve use of the Authority as a conduit for tax free financings by non-profit institutions located in Cumberland County.
