Scott Gilbert, News Director for WITF-FM and occasional Host of Radio Smart Talk will moderate the Thursday evening public forum with Alan Dornfest, the consultant hired by the Cumberland County Commissioners to review and analyze the proposed 2010 property assessment values. The evening session will begin at 7:00 pm,
October 21, 2010 at the Carlisle High School McGowan Auditorium, 623 West Penn Street, Carlisle, PA.

The format for the evening session will include an interview segment led by Mr. Gilbert in combination with Mr. Dornfest presenting results from his research and analysis of the 2010 proposed values in light of IAAO standards for assessments. The audience will be invited to ask questions of Dornfest regarding his findings and experience working with the data from Cumberland County as well as his experience with reassessments in other
states and Canada as part of the session.

Mr. Dornfest will also provide a summary presentation of his analysis and findings to the Board of Commissioners at a public meeting scheduled for 2:00 pm, October 21, 2010, Courtroom 1, 4th Floor, Cumberland County Courthouse, One Courthouse Square, Carlisle, PA. He will explain what the assessment metrics and valuations indicate regarding the overall quality, fairness and uniformity of the 2010 reassessment results. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions of Mr. Dornfest and submit comments for consideration by the Board of Commissioners.

A third meeting has been scheduled for Friday, October 22, 2010, 9:30 am, Carlisle Theatre Auditorium, 44 West High Street, Carlisle, PA. The public is invited to this final session with Mr. Dornfest and ask questions regarding his findings and submit comments for consideration by the Board.
