CARLISLE - M.L. "Skip" Ebert had not been on the job for more than two hours Tuesday when he got a call from the state police. Someone had been hit by a tractor-trailer on Route 15. And before the end of the day, he had two murder cases on his desk, which he said he will be prosecuting himself. He is the first to tell you that his new job is a little more active and exciting than serving as a Cumberland County judge, which he did for 12 years. Ebert was sworn in on Tuesday as Cumberland County's new district attorney, but it's not actually new job for him -- he had previously served in that position for 10 years before becoming a judge.
