The Office of Aging and Community Service recently received an Aging Block Grant that was the result of higher than expected Pennsylvania Lottery funds. The $93,150.00 was given to Cumberland County’s 6 senior centers. A total of $19,000 of the grant was given to the Salvation Army of Carlisle who sponsors and houses the Carlisle Senior Center. They allocated $7,000 for operations and $12,000 to replace a heat pump and install an automatic door system.
