The Office of Aging and Community Service recently received an Aging Block Grant that was the result of higher than expected Pennsylvania Lottery funds. The money from the grant was given to the Salvation Army of Carlisle who sponsors and houses the Carlisle Senior Center. The grant in total was $19,000, with $7,000 allocated for operations and $12,000 to replace a heat pump and install an automatic door system.
