Following are the 3 key steps to control mosquitoes:
1. Identify mosquito larva breeding sites (areas of standing water)
2. Empty the water every 5-7 days or
3. Apply a Mosquito Control Product
---- Water outside the home in containers should be be drained or emptied every 3 days
---- Permanent water can be treated with mosquito "dunks" or "bits" that contain Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti). These products can be found at hardware and other local retailers.
