Cumberland County is aware of an issue affecting tax bills in the Big Spring and Shippensburg School Districts. These tax bills are issued by the school districts. Both districts are aware the printing vendor did not properly apply the Clean and Green Program to eligible properties and are actively working with the vendor to resolve it as quickly as possible.
The Clean and Green Program has not ended, and there have been no changes to the program.
Big Spring School District Update: The District is aware of the omission of Clean and Green deduction from the 2025 School Real Estate Tax Bills. Those residents enrolled in this program will receive revised tax bills. The revised tax bills will be mailed tomorrow, July 8, 2025 and will notate “Corrected Real Estate Tax” above the recipients address. Shippensburg School District Update: The Shippensburg Area School District is aware of the absence of the Clean and Green deduction from the 2025 School Real Estate Tax Bills. The District’s software/printing vendor will be mailing out revised tax bills for those affected on 7/8/2025. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
