Cumberland County Veterans Organizations have developed a list of Memorial Day Events scheduled throughout the County. Please take some time to attend one or more of the events listed below.

Memorial Day Observance & Parade | Newburg . Newburg Memorial Day Committee will hold their annual Memorial Day Observance with a morning worship service at 10:45 a.m. on the Monument Green. A rifle salute will take place at Newburg First Church of God Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. The annual Memorial Day Parade will move through town promptly at 2:00 p.m. A 21-gun salute will take place after the parade. Memorial Day Ceremony | Hampden Township . Hampden Township Veterans Recognition Committee will host their annual Hampden Township Memorial Day ceremony. Major David Childs of The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region will offer prayers. VFW Memorial Post 6704 Minuteman Color Guard will present the Colors and music will be provided by Cumberland Valley High School Brass Quintet and local baritone Matt Robinson. Veterans are invited to wear their uniforms or service ribbons. RJ Harris will serve as emcee. After the Service, everyone is invited to a hot dog lunch in the Park hosted by the Knights of Columbus of Good Shepherd Parish, Camp Hill. | May 25 1pm | Memorial Day Parade & Picnic | Boiling Springs . Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8851 will hold their annual Memorial Day Parade and picnic. The parade will begin at the Boiling Springs High School & end at the Memorial Clock Tower at Children's Lake where a ceremony will be held. A picnic will follow the ceremony.

Bryner American Legion Post 751 will hold a Memorial Day Field Cross Service in the field at their post starting at 1 p.m. JROTC will post the colors. Honor Guard will present a rifle salute. Memorial Day Ceremony | Carlisle . U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center will host a ceremony for Memorial Day at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) at 11:30 am. Salute artillery provided by the 1-108th FA, PAARNG and the Carlisle Brass Band will provide a musical selection for the event.

Memorial service at Spring Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. A flag raising ceremony at Shippensburg Veterans Memorial Park at 12:00 p.m. At 1:15 p.m. the Navy & Marine Memorial Services will be conducted at Branch Bridge on King Street. The Memorial Day Parade will begin at 2:00 P.M. from the corner of King and Prince Streets.
