Firearms & Licensing

NEWS ALERT: The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce that we have partnered with Permitium, LLC to now offer an option to apply for your License to Carry on-line.  Starting June 7, 2021 applicants will be able to apply online by visiting the Firearms division page of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office . The applicant will be able to submit their application on-line and will receive notification when their license has been approved.  They will also be able to schedule their appointment on line, at a time that is convenient to them, so that they can come in to the Sheriff’s Office and have their picture taken and receive their license.  Applicants must bring a valid State ID to their appointment.  We will still be offering the ability to apply in person using a paper application to anyone that does not want to apply on-line.
