This site allows you to submit information for a marriage application, which is NOT COMPLETE until both the applicants appear in the Clerk of Orphans' Court office with the required documentation such as a certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, Printed Confirmation Number and valid photo ID (see Guidelines for Applying for Marriage License for more details on requirements).

WHEN: You can complete the application process by appearing in the Clerk of Orphans' Court Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday (except holidays)

There is a 3 day waiting period from the time the applicants appear in the Clerk of Orphans' Court office until the license becomes valid. The license is only valid for 60 calendar days from the date it is issued. 

COST: $55 (must be paid in CASH) 

WHERE CAN THE LICENSE BE USED? A marriage license issued in Cumberland County may be used anywhere in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Likewise, a license issued in any other county in Pennsylvania may be used in Cumberland County.
