The Recorder of Deeds Office is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional remote days. For this reason, appointments are requested for in-person visitors. Subdivision Plans and Notaries must have a scheduled appointment for recording. Please email recorder@cumberlandcountypa.gov or call 717.240.6370 to schedule an appointment.

Since 1750, the Recorder of Deeds has maintained a permanent public record of deeds and documents related to the development, transfer, and encumbrance of real estate in Cumberland County. 

Deeds Records Access

The searching and review of records including all deeds back to 1750, is available online at www.landex.com 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Records can also be searched online in the Recorder’s Office by appointment only.
